We have an opening for a Production Supervisor to join our team. We are looking for an experienced leader to supervise our South plant. In this role, the supervisor would oversee ~40 employees which is comprised of 2 Snack Lines and 2 Spreads Lines.

Our products can be found in all 50 states and in most major retailers. Over the past 25 years, our team has grown from 15 to 290+ employees. Job Summary

The Superintendent is responsible for all activity occurring on their Shift at their Plant, with a primary focus on ensuring teams are adequately staffed, training is being accomplished, monitoring progress, and upholding accountabilities.


Job Objectives

  • Efficiently completing production goals according to schedule.
  • Communicating resource needs and opportunities for development.
  • Promptly handling paperwork and investigative tasks.
  • Developing leadership positions to act responsibly and predictably.
  • Effectively planning for deviations and reallocating resources as needed.

Responsibilities

Office Work (50%)

  • Administering Payroll, PTO, and employee interactions including hiring, firing, and disciplinary actions.
  • Responding to emails within 24 hours.
  • Compiling and communicating production status through reports:
    • Shift reports
    • Headcount needs
    • Inventory and production shortages
  • Administering trainings and auditing current employee competencies.
  • Verifying paperwork for production quality.
  • Rebalancing schedule throughout the week to ensure efficient production and completion of orders prior to shipment.
  • Boosting morale through celebrating success.
  • Planning, preparing, and maintaining & meeting high expectations for new product or line rollouts.
  • Collaborating with supply chain and planning groups.
  • Providing assistance where needed.

Floor Work (50%)

  • Communicating daily work plans.
  • Assigning labor efficiently to meet production needs.
  • Developing Production and Machine Operators to back up Foremen.
  • Cross-training Foremen on multiple lines and serving as backup when needed.
  • Analyzing departments to request resources where necessary.
  • Training Production Operators to capture data on "inventory used and "line set up."
  • Conducting weekly meetings with Foremen covering quality, productivity, and safety.
  • Conducting quality audits to ensure proper line set up and operation.
  • Occasionally engaging in hands-on line work
Requirements:

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attendance and dependability.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Comfortable in both office and floor environments.
  • Ability to delegate tasks as needed.
  • Ability to organize work and deploy trainings.

Schedule

  • Days: 11 hours Mon - Thurs, partial day Fri. as needed.
