Process/Production Engineer

A global leader in the chemical industry is expanding its Chemical Production Team and seeking a dedicated Process/Production Engineer. This role is crucial for supporting plant operations, driving continuous improvements, and ensuring compliance with EHS and PSM regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Production Support: Provide daily support for batch and continuous chemical operations, troubleshooting and resolving process and equipment issues.
  • Process Optimization: Track production yields, perform mass balances, and manage process improvement projects to enhance safety, productivity, quality, reliability, and cost.
  • Operational Efficiency: Support process downtime and runtime, and manage production, material planning, packaging, shipping, and receiving.
  • Safety and Compliance: Participate in PSM initiatives, audits, and implement change management processes, including MOC, PSSR, P&ID, hazard reviews, SOPs, SPC, and SQC.
  • Incident Management: Lead incident investigations and problem-solving sessions related to safety, quality, production, and reliability.
  • Team Training: Assist in training operations teams to ensure high standards of performance and safety.

Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Education: BS in Chemical Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a Process/Production Engineer in PSM-regulated chemical operating plants.
  • Skills: Experience with Lean/Six Sigma, continuous improvement, PHA, MOC, and P&IDs. Familiarity with process unit operations and controls such as reactors, distillation, polymerization, esterification, filtration, dryers, twin-screw extrusion, and heat treatment.
  • Work Authorization: Must be able to work in the USA without sponsorship, now or in the future.
