Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our team in Syracuse, New York, United States. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be working on a contract basis, offering essential support to providers via phone and email, documenting errors for enhancement, and ensuring the detail-oriented representation of our team.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently manage calls and emails from providers, offering support from basic to complex bill review inquiries.
• Document any errors identified during bill review to track, trend, and improve team error rate.
• Represent the team in all interactions with a detail-oriented approach, ensuring compliance with best practice standards.
• Understand and explain provider contracted rates, carve-outs, and special LOAs applied to medical bills.
• Use the bill review application proficiently to provide accurate information to callers.
• Effectively manage phone calls for timely resolution and reduced provider hold times.
• Understand and answer questions on processed medical bills, including regular and facility bill types.
• Follow safety rules and regulations during work hours in line with the Injury and Illness Prevention Program.
• Undertake additional duties as required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role• Proficient in answering inbound calls in a detail-oriented manner
• Prior experience in a call center customer service environment
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve complaints and issues
• Demonstrated ability in data entry with attention to detail and accuracy
• Skilled in managing email correspondence and responding to customer inquiries promptly
• Experience in handling both inbound and outbound calls efficiently
