Job Description:
The Recruiting Intern will gain experience and contribute to the day-to-day functions of recruitment and sourcing. This person will shadow and interact with recruiters to learn the recruitment life cycle and will gain exposure to various HR functions, gaining valuable skills in recruitment and sourcing.
Qualifications: This individual should be working towards a degree in a higher learning setting. A desire to pursue a career in recruiting or human resources is preferred. Strong interpersonal communication skills, initiative, and the ability to handle time sensitive and confidential information professionally is key.
Principal Responsibilities:
1. Review and screen applications and resumes to identify qualified candidates. Professionally interact with potential employees throughout the recruitment process.
2. Assist in posting job openings on job boards, social media, and other platforms.
3. Coordinate interview schedules between candidates, recruiters, and hiring managers. Conduct initial phone screenings.
4. Assist in sourcing candidates through various channels, including social media, job fairs, and networking.
5. Help maintain the applicant tracking system (ATS) by updating candidate statuses and tracking progress.
6. Support onboarding tasks, including preparing new hire documentation and updating HR files as needed.
7. Complete special projects and research efficiencies and enhancements to recruitment processes.
8. Participate in recruitment team meetings to brainstorm and implement new recruiting ideas.
9. Represent First Bank & Trust by attending career fairs and campus engagement events with the recruiting team. Support external campus vendors as needed.
10. Act in accordance with FB&T policies and procedures as set forth in the employee handbook.
11. Adhere to compliance procedures and participate in required compliance training.
