Reporting to the Associate Director, Recruiting & Professional Development, the Recruiting Assistant will support the lateral associate and lateral partner recruiting functions on a firmwide basis. Based in Century City or Orange County, this position has firmwide responsibility; occasional travel to our six offices is required.

Compensation
Allen Matkins is an Equal Opportunity Employer and offers a competitive compensation & benefits package. The anticipated base salary range for this full-time role is $53,000 - $59,000 per year. Actual salary will depend upon a number of factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, job-related skills, qualifications, and location.
The base salary range displayed on the job posting reflects the estimated range for new hire salaries for the position. The actual offered base salary will be determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, job-related skills, and qualifications. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external business factors.

About the Position
The Recruiting Assistant assists the Chief Recruiting & Professional Development Officer and the Associate Director, Recruiting & Professional Development, with all aspects of lateral hiring and integration.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supports the Associate Director on lateral associate hiring and the Chief Recruiting Officer on lateral partner hiring by assisting with all aspects of the lateral hiring process, including:
- Maintaining the applicant tracking system, including data entry, data management, and candidate files.
- Drafting job postings and tracking open positions.
- Preparing interview schedules.
- Greeting candidates, virtually or in person, and monitoring interviews.
- Soliciting and tracking interview evaluation comments.
- Maintaining search firm agreement files.
- Facilitating the background, conflicts, and reference check processes for lateral candidates.
- Tracks recruiting statistics and market information to support the recruiting team and lateral hiring process.
- Assist with various administrative tasks, including report preparation, conference room reservations, and check requests.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Prior administrative experience in professional services is helpful.
Qualifications
- Travel to other firm offices for firm and recruiting events, as needed.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel, and applicant tracking systems.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to use independent judgment, problem solve, take initiative, and follow through.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, service-oriented environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Overtime will be required as the job duties demand.
