The Hampton Roads Connector Partners JV (HRCP) consisting of VINCI Construction, Dragados, and Flatiron has been selected to construct the $3.3BN Design Build project -the largest civil construction contract ever awarded by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
The project scope across a 9-mile section of the I-64 will include: a new 3.5-mile bridge-tunnel crossing that will accommodate a total of 8 lanes of capacity across the water, replacement of the existing marine approach bridges and the addition of a third lane on I-64 in each direction. The twin 45 diameter 1.5-mile tunnels will be bored by TBM, creating the second largest TBM tunnel opening for a TBM in North America.
- Support Talent Acquisition through the new hire process by creating requisitions in company applicant tracking system and posting positions externally, scheduling candidate interviews (phone, virtual, in-person), assisting candidates while onsite, maintaining accurate and current candidate dashboards, issuing background checks and drug screenings, and providing onboarding assistance for new hires.
- Support recruiting efforts across the entire project.
- Participate and assist in recruiting events including career fairs and outreach events, university information sessions, and industry conferences while building strategic business relationships with recruiting contacts.
- Assist in marketing and branding initiatives and strategies including social media platforms, and community outreach opportunities and prospects.
- Communicate, negotiate, and create offer letters of employment across the project.
- Perform the HR segment of new hire orientations each week.
- General HR assistance as needed
- 1 - 2 years of previous relevant work experience in a related field.
- Bilingual - ability to translate and negotiate in both English and Spanish.
- MS Office Experience: Word - Experienced with formatting, mail merge and intermediate level functions / Excel - Experienced with data entry and pivot tables. / PowerPoint - Experienced with creating professional presentations to be used in training sessions across a wide audience base and varied topics. / Outlook - Experience maintaining shared calendars
- Strong technical inclination and interest in data entry features and data analysis
- Ability to multi-task and work in high pressure environment
- Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a high degree of confidentiality.
