CONSTRUCTION SALES & RECRUITING LEAD | KANSAS CITY

We are seeking a Sales Professional (preferably with a sales/recruiting background in the construction arena) to lead and develop our Construction division. This role will involve recruiting and, once familiar with our team, services, and processes, will shift to take on some specific Business Development activities related to construction opportunities and needs. Additionally, this role will entail managing new accounts acquired through sales efforts and leveraging the existing recruiting team (or growing a new one) to support new business opportunities.

Construction Services Division may include these skillsets (but not limited to); Construction Management Executives, Owners Representatives, Project Managers, Project Controls, Estimating, Designers, Drafters, QA/QC, Safety, Skilled Trades, Traveling contractors (Crane Operators, Millwrights, Ironworkers, etc.)

Projects we support: Mission Critical, Data Center, Utilities, Renewables, Commercial, Multifamily, Refinery, Chemical, Science & Technology, and more.......

  • Office space is located on the County Club Plaza (great space with amenities)
  • Open to creating flexible schedule to fit needs
  • Base salary and competitive commission structure. Ability to earn commissions from both Recruiting and Business Development efforts

Seeking:

  • Experience in Sales, preferably Construction or Engineering related (selling into Construction related business)
  • Looking for a "seller-doer", ability to identify potential opportunities and develop strategies to deliver
  • Good conversationalist, enjoys being on the phone (#1 task for this role)
  • Ability to learn quickly, curiosity, creativity, results-focused, reliable, ask good questions, listen, note/record keeping
  • Detailed understanding of target markets
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks, process-oriented, detail-oriented, organized
  • Technical skills (MS Office products, ATS/CRM experience a plus)

Recruiting

  • Source & Screen candidates for current client opportunities
  • Source candidates through various platforms and engage them actively.
  • Balance multiple searches and deadlines efficiently.
  • Guide candidates through the recruitment process, including scheduling, interview prep, and offer negotiation.
  • Develop a strong pipeline of qualified talent for current and future clients.
  • Maintain relationships with candidates to gain industry knowledge and referrals.
  • Record candidate information meticulously using ATS system

Account Management & Business Development

  • Generate leads and market intelligence for new client development.
  • Maintain client communication and manage full-desk recruitment activities.
  • Partake in discovery calls with hiring managers, understanding client needs
  • Ability to capture key information to share with the recruiting team to ensure full understanding
  • Resolve client issues promptly to ensure high satisfaction.
