Advanced Cooling Technologies, Inc. Position Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer position is a hands-on position that supports ACT's Production group. The position is involved in a wide variety of engineering tasks including product development to manufacturing transitions, thorough identification of all customer requirements, manufacturing tooling design, fabrication process development, procedure and traveler generation, the study of manufacturing cycle times, project schedule and tracking, customer interaction, and budget control.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Transition programs from Product Development to Manufacturing to meet customer requirements.
  • Design and manufacture tooling to support manufacturing processes.
  • Support the generation of manufacturing procedures and travelers.
  • Support product manufacturing ramp and production schedule.
  • Prepares product and processes reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing info and trends related to customer requirements and cost
  • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, floor space, and equipment layout.
  • Work with the supplier base to manufacture the required components. Generate and approve supplier purchase orders.
  • Establish and document a work plan for engineers and technicians to complete the proposed tasks.
  • Assist and provide direction to production staff in all aspects of fabrication and testing to assure product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Evaluate and report test results.
Basic Qualifications:
  • B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering (non technical degree)
  • Prior experience in using CAD software such as SolidWorks.
  • Prior experience with Labview software and Excel databases.
  • Prior experience in mechanical inspection and understanding of GD&T.
  • Good verbal and written skills essential.
  • Excellent computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).
