What You'll Do
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring our manufacturing equipment, including CNC machining centers, operates smoothly and efficiently. From planning and setup to quality checks, you'll work hands-on to optimize production. You'll also be involved in troubleshooting, collaborating with teams, and documenting processes to keep everything on track.
Here's a quick look at some of your responsibilities:
- Problem Solver: Figure out what's causing issues and find practical solutions.
- Process Planner: Outline and manage each step of the manufacturing process, including assembly and packaging.
- Improvement Expert: Review and update processes to make them more efficient.
- Equipment Caretaker: Ensure tools and machines are well-maintained and ready to go.
- Team Collaborator: Partner with the product design and quality teams to ensure we can produce new products efficiently.
- Trainer and Documenter: Create easy-to-understand guides and training materials.
- Maintenance Planner: Set up schedules to keep equipment in top condition.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering (or similar experience).
- Experience: 3+ years in manufacturing, with hands-on CNC machining experience and familiarity with quality tools like FMEA and process mapping.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving and computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP software familiarity.
- Technical Knowledge: Experience with metal cutting, mechanics, electronics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Lean Manufacturing: Understanding of Lean Six Sigma is a bonus.
- Language Skills: German is a plus but not required.
