Volt is immediately hiring for a Manufacturing Engineer in San Diego, CA.
As a Manufacturing Engineer you will:
Provide technical expertise necessary to new technology and manufacturing execution systems with all aspects of production, costs, quality, compliance to safety guidelines, and environmental requirements for manufacturing.
Responsibilities
• Lead new Technology & Innovation roadmaps.
• Communicate with stakeholders to determine the new technology mid-long term plan.
• Drive insights On Technology trends and sharing with technical groups.
• Standardize processes and automating monitoring technologies.
• Interact with vendors, tech leaders, mechanical design, NC programmers, maintenance and third technical parties across organization.
This is a full time, contingent opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or similar
Knowledge of processes, techniques and methods of engineering in a manufacturing environment; ability to assess and implement machines, devices, systems and processes that safely realize a desired objective or invention.
Previous experience in the following areas:
• Facilitates the integration of engineering systems and applications for a manufacturing process.
• Monitors the effectiveness and efficiency of processes and improves technology operations performance.
• Participates in evaluation and selection of new equipment.
• Monitors the effectiveness and efficiency of processes and improves technology operations performance.
• Plans, tests and implements changes to manufacturing infrastructure and environment.
• Ensures that employees are qualified to operate equipment effectively and safely.
Level Working Knowledge with the ability to:
• Discusses considerations for value streams and work cell productivity, efficiency and process capability.
• Selects and utilizes tools, techniques and measurements associated with a lean assessment. Reducing waste and Non-value added.
Manufacturing Processes: Knowledge of existing product manufacturing methods, technologies and processes; ability to execute, plan, manage and monitor the entire manufacturing process.
Pay Rate: $27/hour-$41/hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
