Supra America Machined Parts is a leading manufacturer of parts for the automotive industry, and we are currently hiring for a full-time Finishing Operator to join our growing team.

Minimum Work Experience, Education & Other Credential Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- At least 1 year of experience working in a same or similar capacity; or
- An equivalent combination of education and work experience
Finishing Operator Job Summary:
Within the precision machining and finishing workshops, manufacture the requested products in compliance with the defined effectiveness and efficiency objectives and within the framework of the current and applicable recommendations, instructions, procedures and normative requirements within his or her scope of activity, and notably in relation to safety, the environment, security and quality.
Finishing Operator Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- 2.1.1- Remove the chips from the work area and from behind the lathe doors.
- 2.2.1- Remove and store the empty HU (handling unit) and load a HU of parts to be washed.
- 2.2.2- Remove the HU of washed parts and replace with an empty HU.
- 2.2.3- Clean the floor under and around the washing machine
- 2.3.1- Sieve the parts: scan the FSAUC, print out the FSAUM, load the parts to be sieved and unload the sieved parts.
- 2.3.2- Remove and empty the full chips container fitted to the spin drying system, replace it with an empty container and clean the floor under and around the machine.
- 2.4.1- Load the parts to be sorted and unload the bags of sorted parts.
- 2.4.2- Change the routing.
- 2.4.3- Perform batch change-overs.
- 2.4.4- Perform the level-1 maintenance operations (cleaning the work area).
- 2.4.5- Perform the level-1 maintenance operations (cleaning the belt).
- 2.4.6- Ensure that all cardboard boxes and bags are replaced as required.
- 2.4.7- Clean the floor under and around the machines.
- 2.5.1- Package the parts: Identify the PU/SPU (packaging units/sub-packaging units), heat-seal the SPU, strap the PU, film wrap the HU and transfer them to the shipping area.
- 2.5.2- Clean the floor under and around the packaging station and clean the strapping machine.
- 2.5.3- Replace the nitrogen cylinder.
- 2.6.1- Obtain instructions from the operator who worked the previous shift, complete the incidents log and pass on instructions to the operator who will work the next shift.
- 2.6.2- Empty the 3 trash cans into the bin, take out and empty the bin then return it to its position.
- 2.6.3- Clean the cleaning cart.
Physical Requirements & Working Environment for Finishing Operator:
This position requires frequent standing, walking, running, stooping, bending, reaching, kneeling, carrying, pushing, pulling, and lifting objects of up to 50 lbs; frequent use of hands and fingers to handle parts and fine pieces; frequent operating of lathe machines, forklift, and related heavy machinery and equipment. This position will work in an indoor and climate controlled setting the majority of the time with continuous exposure to loud audible noise requiring the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and with occasional exposure to an outdoor non-climate controlled setting.
