Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible to support the manufacturing teams through the creations of accurate and timely routings, drawings and assembly instructions, assisting with the purchase and maintenance of machines and equipment, and leading projects as necessary. Improve the business by contributing, supporting, and implementing ideas to enhance processes and practices for the manufacturing value stream. Lead by example to create a positive culture by ensuring a safe work environment and respecting other people at all times.
  • Support production team members in the continual improvement of production processes
  • Support production in the development of processes that are repeatable and safe
  • Support engineering and R & D on implementing new designs and updated designs into production
  • Oversee and participate in a maintenance system that ensures strong uptime of machinery and equipment
  • Assist in training systems and methodology
  • Ensure the completion of manufacturing routings in a timely and accurate manner
  • Responsiveness to production team members when issues arise
  • Support production in ensuring that standards are being adhered to and that parts are of high quality are being produced according to specifications
  • Oversee internal and external quality certifications (ISO, training certifications, etc.)
  • Assist production in building quality into the processes
  • Assist in responding to and eliminating warranty and quality issues that arise
  • Required Qualifications:
  • Manufacturing Engineering experience and education
  • Ability to teach others
  • Process thinker
  • Mastery of 5S, waste elimination, and other lean principles
  • Ability to use and create 2D and 3D drawings on both CAD and SolidWorks
  • Ability to use ERP system
  • Problem solving: root cause analysis and corrective action
