Job Summary

This position establishes production plan and develops schedule and daily load to support the sales and operations plan, inventory, and customer service objectives. Plans and schedules usage of materials, components and capacity consistent with the projected forecasts to support the sales and operations plan for manufacturing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Establishes daily production schedules to determine sequence products and components will be manufactured.
  • Strong collaboration with Manufacturing, Operations, Sales, Materials and Production Coordinators, Buyers, Supervisors, Quality personnel, Logistics team members to achieve both strategic and tactical objectives, will be critical to meeting the business goals
  • Create Demand plan and the Production plan consistent with plant capacity and resources to meet customer demand
  • Develops production schedule for assigned product, providing sufficient lead time to procure raw materials and manufacturing components to meet sales demand and production forecast requirements
  • Monitors schedules to assist departmental labor planning in achieving the goals of the production plan.
  • Support Sales team short lead time orders and make revisions to existing production schedules
  • Align production plans with customer demand
  • Reviews, analyzes and edits orders against a defined set of input requirements
  • Identifies discrepancies and communicate with appropriate personnel to resolve discrepancies.
  • Processes orders promptly and accurately to provide the Production with a clear understanding of requirements.
  • Communicates and/or initiates systems information relating to manufacturing system.
  • Monitors and maintains accurate records and proper planning data for assigned items.
  • Coordinates the implementation of changes, which effect production of assigned items.
  • Performs transactions necessary to maintain accurate records and inventory balances.
  • Maintains various reporting systems for ensuring that documentation is accurate and timely.
  • Creates production schedules daily and ensures that output is recorded into the correct system.
  • Communicates with Sales when there are significant variations in product demand.
  • Communicates demand information across a facility so that everyone is aware of volume and metrics.
  • Reviews forecast versus actual demand patterns, making appropriate adjustments to maintain inventory levels.
  • Work closely with other functional areas to drive Promise Date service level, Customer Request Date service level, past due backlog and lead time.
  • Provide support to all internal and external customers
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain Team on materials and outside services
  • Maintain order backlog including initial order scheduling based upon capacity plan, material availability and production constraints
  • Work closely with Master Data department on SAP Data clean-up and conversion errors and maintain the accuracy of the master data.
  • Complete special projects and assignments as required.
  • Follows all 5S practices and supports lean activities, as well as safety regulations policies and procedures.


Education and/or Experience

•Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent prior experience
  • (3-5 years) and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Must understand ERP, supply chain, distribution logistics, and financial systems in manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to calculate figures ro analyze and forecast product inventory, and services as required.
