Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000

Summary Of Job:
The purpose of this position is to develop manufacturing specifications and control systems to produce consistent quality products. The position is also responsible for providing research, engineering design, installation, and troubleshooting for manufacturing equipment to enable the company to produce high-quality products efficiently and consistently to meet customer demands.

The purpose of this position is to develop manufacturing specifications and control systems to produce consistent quality products. The position is also responsible for providing research, engineering design, installation, and troubleshooting for manufacturing equipment to enable the company to produce high-quality products efficiently and consistently to meet customer demands.
Job Responsibilities:
- Interface with Production, Quality, R&D and develop manufacturing specs. and control systems for optimization of equipment and work practices.
- Interface with management, Production and suppliers to develop needs and designs, literature research, engineering/cost calculations and drafting. Test new equipment and processes.
- Provide technical knowledge, hands-on repair and troubleshooting, generate maintenance work orders, interface with Maintenance and Production personnel, direct repair activities and corrective actions.
- Interface with management and Production, for verbal updates, develop written project timelines, coordinate the scheduling of Maintenance and contractor activities with Production, prioritize various projects, generate monthly activity reports.
- Contact suppliers from internet research and technical publications, generate specifications/drawings and fax for quotations.
- Phone supplier to obtain pricing, part #'s, delivery, descriptions, write purchase requisitions, obtain approval signatures, expedite delivery, if required, direct returns.
- Direct contractor and maintenance work activities, drawing interpretation, communicate details and requirements to all parties involved.
- Gather equipment costs, installation estimates, write justifications with cost analysis, as required, verbal discussion to obtain approval.
- Develop activities, drawings, specifications, and safety requirements, for projects.
- Meet with appropriate parties
- Ability to write and create SOPs, FMEA, and control plans
- Ability to run CapEx projects
- The incumbent of this position must possess a four-year degree in an engineering curriculum, ideally a mechanical, industrial, or electrical engineering degree.
- Five to seven years of industry engineering experience required. Highly qualified candidates will have automation experience in addition to the degree and work experience.
- Specialized technical knowledge in atomization, classification, testing, processing, and handling of powders preferred.
- Strong project management skills required - working with contractors, budgeting, scheduling etc.
- "Hands-On" type individual desirable with troubleshooting experience.
- Computer literacy with word processing, spreadsheets, and other software helpful.
- Ability to understand blueprints and perform basic drafting functions with AutoCAD.
- MOST Training preferred.
- Knowledge of design, manufacture, test, and evaluation of system control.
