Job Description
Teledyne Photon Machines Inc.(PMI) is a leading designer and manufacturer of laser-based sample introduction equipment for laboratory instrumentation. PMI's laser ablation systems allow elemental analysis when only a small amount of sample may be present. Such analyses are useful in medical research, forensic, and materials science applications. We have a great opportunity for a Production Technician at our Bozeman, MT facility.
The primary purpose of this position is to assemble and test production subassemblies and systems for the Excimer laser ablations systems. Technician would concentrate on the production build and test procedures currently utilized. This person would also be responsible for recommending product improvements to the engineering team.
Education: Technical degree in electronics or mechanical engineering technology preferred, but not required.
Experience: 1 year preferred in a manufacturing environment. Basic experience with electronics, mechanical assembly and opto-mechanical assembly and alignment preferred.
-High level of Mechanical Aptitude
-Follow written procedures for manufacturing laser related products
-Work with little supervision to produce quality Opto Mechanical and Electromechanical subassemblies
-Strong written and oral communication skills

- Assembly of and test production subassemblies
- Support Continuous improvement of existing products and manufacturing processes
- Support system level integration of systems, along with electrical and optical test of systems.
- Support office personnel in preparing and shipping production hardware.
- Support Field service and customer service when required
