Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and make corrections to machinery or operation settings to correct for material defects being introduced.
  • Work with Maintenance to improve equipment or introduce equipment to improve a process or improve material quality.
  • Work with Process Engineers to drive process improvement through lowering costs, processing time, improving communication, product movement, available tools, etc.
  • Investigate problems in production and identify Root Causes and implement Corrective Actions.
  • Investigate systemic problems in production and be able to propose creative solutions to fix root causes of problems.
  • Collect, analyze, summarize, and present production and process data to management.
  • Use software tools to identify trends in data.
  • Work with Maintenance to implement PM's.
  • Create or modify work instructions in MS Word/Excel.
  • Implement Lean/6-Sigma improvements in production.
  • Collect, analyze, summarize, and present production and process data, information, and trends to
  • Generate reports, manual and automated, that effectively communicate the state of production via the department's KPI's.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance and Production regarding tooling life and design.
  • Recommend changes that lead to improvements in product quality, process effectiveness and/or lower cost of manufacture.
Qualifications:
  • High school degree or equivalent required
  • Manufacturing Engineering Degree or equivalent preferred
  • Manufacturing Experience is preferred.
  • Have basic computer skills
  • Have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Power Term
