Schedule: Tues – Fri 5am – 3:30pm

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct/perform in process inspections to release product as authorized by direct supervisor.
  • Follow appropriate policies, procedures, protocols, and complete necessary documentation, as guided.
  • Under direct supervision, follow plans and ensure all tasks are performed on schedule.
  • Support transfer from development to manufacturing, building prototypes, qualification samples, etc.
  • Perform all production related activities including:
  • Preparing solutions, cleaning, and treating biological tissue.
  • Assembling/sewing of final product.
  • Packaging of tissue and/or final product.
  • Train fellow technicians/operators as assigned by direct supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in operations and/or lab working with team members in a medical device environment, including assisting with the training of fellow employees as directed.
  • Previous experience assembling Class III medical devices.
  • Previous exposure to new development projects and lab work.
  • Experience handling, assembling and/or sewing biological tissue.
  • Ability to communicate and document technical as well as quality issues.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Previous exposure to new development projects and lab work.
  • Must be able to take directions, follow precise procedures and detailed instructions.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to sit in a chair or stand for the duration of your shift.
  • Can use small tools like a scalpel or tweezers.
  • Highly motivated self-starter willing to work in any area needing support in a small engineering/start-up environment.
