The preferred candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a production environment in a leadership role. This candidate will have excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills to effectively lead in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

Job Summary
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance functions in the entire facility including all production equipment, support equipment and tools, fire protection and alarm systems, powered industrial vehicles, and building maintenance (including plumbing and electrical). In order to achieve goals related to plant safety, quality, and efficiency, the manager works collaboratively with other supervisors/department managers to plan and deliver timely preventative maintenance and to respond with urgency to unscheduled downtime.
This manager will be responsible for directing 4-6 maintenance personnel, and will also be charged with maintaining adherence to the budget, developing and instituting cost-savings initiatives, and supporting continuous improvement projects.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)

- Identify needs for maintenance and repair throughout the facility.
- Develop and implement appropriate plans and measures to ensure the facility meets its goals related to safety, quality, and production efficiency.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of maintenance efforts and take corrective improvement actions when appropriate.
- Schedule maintenance and repairs to ensure minimal plant downtime.
- Supervise the purchasing of parts, equipment, and services, including vendor selection and price negotiation (including ensuring all contractors comply with company safety selection standards).
- Complete employee relations functions including staffing, scheduling, training, supervision, discipline, mentoring and performance evaluation.
- Provide leadership in safety efforts; including training, evaluation, and certification of location personnel in designated safety topics.
- Manage all onsite contractors to ensure their compliance with applicable company rules, governmental regulations, and performance standards.
- Maintain building and equipment to provide a clean and safe working environment.
- Establish policies and procedures related to the maintenance function.
- Effectively communication with the Plant Manager and other stakeholders regarding maintenance needs, progress towards goals, and overall performance; including the completion of reports (verbal, written, electronic).
- Maintain operations within departmental budget. Aid in the creation of budgets.
- Represent the company positively and effectively in all situations.
- Maintain visibility on the floor to promote success among workers.
Other (Non-Essential) Functions
Includes functions which are normally performed by persons holding this title. However, these functions may be reassigned to other employees as part of a “Reasonable Accommodation” under the ADA.

Job Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis on Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or similar area is preferred but not required as we will consider experience and other educational achievements in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Prior management, supervisory, or team leader experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, manuals, diagrams, and numerical data.
- Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office, various maintenance software packages and internet, including the ability to produce basic reports and general business correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from all levels of the organization, vendors, and customers.
- Experience in envelope printing or manufacturing is strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions
- This position requires the incumbent to experience frequent periods of sitting, standing, walking, bend, stoop, kneel and twist.
- The position requires the incumbent to occasionally lift, push, pull and carry minimal weights if needed with or without assistance.
- This position requires the incumbent to grasp objects utilizing manual dexterity including hand/finger coordination and the utilization of color vision.
- Must wear appropriate PPE; usually consisting of hearing protection and safety shoes, but may also include cut-resistant gloves, eye protection, electrical protection, or fall protection.
