Global mold manufacturer and supplier in the NW Suburbs of Chicago seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to join their family-centered culture. With over a half-century of service to their customers, being committed to continuous improvement, and offering a “one-stop shop” (product design to shipping the final product), they are high-tech mold-makers.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with production supervisors, engineering, program managers, and other support staff to conceptualize, research, and implement new ideas, processes, and technologies.
• Create SOP and Work Instructions on new equipment.
• Provide guidance on quoting for new processes (post mold).
• Review OEE, Labor, and Process efficiency, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead continuous improvement projects.
• Provide training and insights to junior employees for the betterment of the individual and the company.

Qualifications:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related technical degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• 2-3 years experience in plastic injection molding preferred.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing systems and equipment.

Position:

• Permanent Full-time Employee.
• Shift: M-F, Days.
• Pay: $70k-$110k (depending on experience).
