Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems Division has an opening for a Manufacturing Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals and maintain our world class capabilities in a dynamic environment. This position will be located in Redondo Beach CA.

This position is defined as a Manufacturing Analyst. Knowledge, Skills and Ability include complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Full knowledge of industry practices is required. Independently demonstrates the skill and ability to perform fairly complex professional tasks. Problem Solving involves developing solutions to a variety of complex problems. May refer to established precedents and policies. Discretion/Latitude is required to perform fairly complex tasks and participate in determining objectives of assignment. Plan schedules and arrange own activities in accomplishing objectives. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Impact exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve objectives would normally have a serious effect upon the administration of the organization. Liaison responsibilities include representing the organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations. May develop and deliver presentations. Review engineering documentation, reports, specifications, and drawings to determine documentation and material requirements. Ensure compliance with engineering specifications, and ensure engineering orders reflect latest requirements. Analyze proposed changes in product design to determine effect on documents such as drawings, test specifications, manuals, and ensure all documents have required approvals. Compile release packages ensuring all documentation is present. Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical equipment.

Essential Functions:

  • Analyze mechanical equipment used for space systems integration & test
  • Support Integration and Test (I&T) operations on the high bay floor as related to Flight Hardware and Mechanical Ground Support Equipment usage and processing as required
  • Analyze and confirm correct configuration of Flight Hardware Equipment

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4 years of Integration, Planning and Logistic experience Configuration Control.
  • Order and receive in flight hardware using MPS systems.
  • 3 years Property & Asset Management/Asset Identification Ensures all current and new asset management systems and processes are compliant with requirements and regulations (e.g. FAR 245, DFARS 245) and company policies.
  • Candidate must have, and be able to maintain SCI Access with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within 5 years.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some experience in managing drawing requirements, tracking engineering orders to determine if quality notice is required and updating revisions.
  • Some experience in control activities, and accountability of government property.

Salary Range: $72,100 - $108,100

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
