Manufacturing Engineer (Aerospace Components, Chicago Area)
Pave Talent is hiring on behalf of our client, a specialized aerospace manufacturing company located 40 minutes outside of Chicago. With a 30+ year legacy in maintaining and repairing aircraft components, our client was recently acquired by a larger industrial group, positioning them for significant growth and expansion.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and optimization of production processes for aerospace components
- Create and maintain critical documentation including SOPs, Manufacturing Orders (MO), and Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Collaborate with Design Engineers to enhance product and tooling requirements
- Perform Materials Review Board (MRB) reviews and implement corrective actions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through gap analysis and time studies
- Provide hands-on support in various fabrication processes
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
- Strong mechanical aptitude with attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technical writing
- Experience working in manufacturing environments with CNC and manual machining operations
- Knowledge of SolidWorks and ERP systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
- CNC programming capabilities
- Experience with manual machining (mills, lathes, band saw)
- Hands-on project experience (automotive, woodworking, metal fabrication)
- TIG welding experience
- Understanding of electro-mechanical systems
- Background in aerospace manufacturing (beneficial but not required)

- Competitive base salary: $90,000 - $110,000
