POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer specializing in strategic project management, you will play a crucial role in optimizing production processes through comprehensive project oversight and strategic planning. Your expertise will lie at the intersection of engineering, technology, and manufacturing, where you contribute to driving innovation, efficiency, and strategic initiatives in production processes.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Work Environment
The atmosphere is that of a manufacturing plant and office space. The position will primarily work where moving machinery produces noise. Employees must wear Personal Protective Equipment that is issued for that location. Temperature can range from extreme cold to extreme heat. Frequent use of company communication devices are required such as a computer, phone, and other office electronics.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance manufacturing processes and operations. This involves aligning projects with company goals and ensuring long-term sustainability.
- Project Management: Lead complex manufacturing projects from conception to completion, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
- Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in existing manufacturing processes and implement solutions to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve quality.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including R&D, production, and quality assurance, to ensure cohesive project execution and alignment with business objectives.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes, increase throughput, and reduce waste. Foster a culture of innovation and efficiency.
- Resource Management: Efficiently allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize project outcomes and ensure timely delivery.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success and minimize disruptions.
- Quality Control: Oversee the development and implementation of quality control measures to ensure product consistency and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to manufacturing personnel on new processes and technologies. Mentor and coach junior engineers and technicians.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all projects comply with safety regulations and standards to maintain a safe working environment.
- Performance Monitoring: Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, and report on progress to senior management.
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering. Advanced degrees or certifications in project management, strategic planning, or related fields are often advantageous.
- 7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on project management and process optimization. Experience in a senior or leadership role is typically required.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and software. Familiarity with CAD software for designing manufacturing systems is also beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify inefficiencies in manufacturing processes and develop effective solutions.
- Experience leading large-scale projects from conception to implementation, including strategic planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and provide training and support to manufacturing personnel.
- A commitment to staying updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in manufacturing engineering and project management.
- A thorough understanding of quality management principles and safety regulations related to manufacturing processes.
- Ability to mentor and coach junior engineers, technicians, and operators, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, deadlines, and project requirements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
