Wieland is hiring a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer. The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for focus on implementing new manufacturing processes and products, assuring high levels of productivity and quality, as well as ensuring cost-efficiency and conformance with regulatory standards for high volume as well as low volume high mix production.
This role is located in Pine Hall, NC and will be fully on-site.
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations ("ITAR") and the ability to access and handle ITAR "Technical Data" as defined by 22 CFR * 120.33 is an essential function.
ResponsibilitiesSr. Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:
- Ensuring a safe work environment for all employees.
- Implementing, documenting, and improving new manufacturing processes for metal processing (CNC machining, automation, welding, cleaning, QC).
- Establish and continuously improve stable and repeatable production processes.
- Supporting the product design team in consulting on design for manufacturing
- Structured root cause analysis and implementing improvements.
- Developing detailed layouts for equipment, processes, and workflow.
- Developing new processes, equipment, and products.
- Developing and implementing cost-saving measures and quality control systems.
Sr. Manufacturing Engineer Qualifications:
- Degree in manufacturing or mechanical engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in CNC manufacturing and automation in high-volume production.
- Experience evaluating and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and machinery.
- Experience in CNC programming, CAD, CAM, data analysis programs, and related software.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Team player, collaborating within an international team and ability to travel abroad.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- High level of technical expertise and interest in continuous learning.
- Strong analytical thinker.
