Position Summary

This individual is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing processes on the floor in all areas of production. The Senior Manufacturing Supervisor assists the production technicians, monitors output for each operation, randomly and frequently inspects product/processes for each operation, enforces safety policies, troubleshoots equipment document concerns, ensures that raw materials are available for technicians to maximize product flow. Serves as a bridge for communication between leadership and the technicians and works with management to optimize processes and efficiencies for all operations during the manufacture of our product.


Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provides direction and support to GT’s manufacturing technicians during the manufacture of product while maintaining safety for radioactive and non-radioactive products.
  • Exemplifies the values of collaboration, accountability, integrity, communication, and curiosity.
  • Steps in and runs production processes when necessary.
  • Along with the Manufacturing Manager, identifies and oversees employee training and monitors progress of the training through documentation.
  • With manufacturing manager, identifies employees who require re-training and executes the plan.
  • Coordinates with manufacturing manager and customer service to ensure that customer needs and expectations are met, while providing best-in-class delivery and quality.
  • Assists the manufacturing manager to ensure that adequate resources are available to meet customer demands and adjusts resources to meet those demands.
  • Provides regular feedback to manufacturing manager regarding team performance.
  • Assist technician on projects and improvements.
  • Identifies measures to improve efficiency and reduce manufacturing costs while maintaining product quality. Utilizes 5S, LEAN, & Continuous Improvement techniques.
  • Assists with inventory counts and cycle counts to manage overall operational costs.
  • Embodies the Company’s purpose and shared values, building a positive and productive team culture.
  • Comply with Company policies and procedures.
  • Authorized to access employee and/or patient PHI and ePHI only as needed for job-related functions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Oversees daily operations and guides the team to achieve goals. Communicates tasks, provides feedback, and ensures employee motivation and productivity. Duties include interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, appraising performance, and managing rewards and discipline. Acts as a bridge between management and staff, fostering a positive work environment by addressing issues and setting clear expectations.

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED minimum. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years related manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledgeable in radiological practices.
  • Skilled in interpersonal communication (oral and written) skills.
  • Ability to follow-up with team members and with manager, as well as multi-task.
  • Ability to lead with a positive demeanor.
  • Ability to direct workflow with clear communication and by setting clear expectations.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as radioactive decay, statistical inference, percentages, and ratios.
  • Ability to provide appropriate recognition.
  • Ability to manage and resolve conflicts and disagreements in a positive and constructive manner to minimize negative impact.
  • Ability to effectively plan and delegate the work of others.
  • Ability to instill a sense of urgency while promoting the importance of world class quality and delivery
  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in using computers and Microsoft office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
  • Able to travel for work as needed.
  • Satisfactorily pass comprehensive background screening.
  • Satisfactorily pass drug screening (if applicable to position).

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

  • Works in office space, supply room, laboratory, and/or clean room environments.
  • Frequent exposure to hazardous materials requiring appropriate PPE and precautions when working with hazardous materials and chemicals.
  • Requires frequent finite hand/eye coordination.
  • Largely a stationary role with some moving from place to place.
  • Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, monitor and other office equipment.
  • Frequent use of laboratory and manufacturing equipment.
  • Occasionally picks up, carries, and moves items up to 50 lbs.
  • Some evening and weekend work depending upon workload.
  • Some overnight travel may be required for work, events, and trainings.
