We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing/Quote Engineer to join our team. This critical role bridges the gap between engineering, production, and sales by providing accurate cost estimates and ensuring efficient manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics manufacturing, process optimization, and customer collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

Quoting and Estimation
  • Analyze customer requirements, engineering drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOMs) to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates.
  • Evaluate material costs, labor requirements, and production timelines for quoting purposes.
  • Collaborate with sales and purchasing teams to develop pricing strategies that align with company goals.

Manufacturing Process Development
  • Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
  • Identify and resolve process inefficiencies to improve productivity and reduce costs.
  • Develop and maintain work instructions, process flowcharts, and other documentation to ensure consistent production quality.

Collaboration and Communication
  • Serve as a technical liaison between customers, engineering, and production teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and met.
  • Assist with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews and provide feedback to customers.
  • Support cross-functional teams in the evaluation of new projects and process improvements.

Continuous Improvement
  • Research and recommend new technologies, tools, and methods to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for production issues.
  • Monitor production metrics and implement strategies to achieve quality, cost, and delivery objectives.

Qualifications:

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.

Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering within the EMS or electronics industry.
  • Proven experience in quoting, cost estimation, or related functions is a strong advantage.

Skills
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and CAD software.
  • Strong understanding of electronics manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and BOMs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively across departments.

Certifications (preferred but not required)
  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certifications.
