Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Follow all relevant safety regulations and promote positive safety culture.

Ability to program and setup weld robots including, but not limited to Fanuc and Panasonic weld robots.

Responsible for developing and testing solutions to solve technical problems in manufacturing, and operations.

Assist Manufacturing Engineers by identifying and implementing production equipment and process improvement opportunities within the manufacturing environment.

Monitor existing production equipment and process and identify key areas of opportunity including; yield, production, set up time, and ergonomic improvement(s).

Design and implement various fixtures to be used on the production floor.

Assist in the commissioning of new equipment, including validation efforts.

Assist in the development and testing of new manufacturing process(es) and equipment.

Assists in the design and manufacturing transfer activities.

Troubleshoots and recommends solutions to problems with; equipment, process(es), instrumentation, etc.

Works closely with Supervisor of Production, Manufacturing Engineer(s) and Maintenance to scope and guide work activities.

Have active participation in Continuous Improvement (CI) events and initiatives.

Ability to work additional overtime to complete key projects, provide coverage per business need.

Consistently aims to go above and beyond customer requirements.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, maintain all equipment according to maintenance plans.

Ability to train to become the Subject Matter Expert on the Amada Turret Punch and Salvagnini machines.

Ability to cross train to other departments as needed.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

Possess or are working toward a Diploma/A.A.S. in Welding, Metal Fabrication, related area OR have three (3) - five (5) years of relevant experience.

Ability to work overtime and weekends, as needed.

Reliable and dependable attendance.

Ability to communicate verbally and in written form with supervisors and co-workers.

Mechanical aptitude required.

Safety First attitude.

Physical requirements include frequent reaching, gripping and carrying up to 50 lbs., plus frequent standing, stooping, bending, squatting, and walking.

Schedule:

First Shift - Monday-Friday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Requirements

As a Manufacturing Technician you are responsible for providing technical support to Manufacturing and Design Engineers within the production facility. You will assist in conducting tests and troubleshooting equipment with an emphasis on robotic welding. You will solve routine technical problems and have a great understanding of the manufacturing processes. May perform other duties as assigned.
