Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Maintains the cleanliness of a facility and the surrounding grounds to meet customer and client satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Ability to perform major janitorial cleaning tasks such as vacuuming (using a 25lb. vacuum daily for 3 to 4 hours), wet mopping, sweeping, dusting, and emptying trash (lifting waste paper and debris-minimum of 55lbs.)
Cleans and disinfects drinking fountains, restrooms, including floors and all fixtures (i.e.: Urinals, Toilets, Sinks, Mirrors, Partitions, and Counters).
Fills dispensers and stocking supplies in restrooms.
Wash Windows and Sill (Door Glass).
Must be willing to work overtime and on weekends as necessary to meet events and facility schedules.
Must be able to walk up and down stairs frequently, as well as regular bending and standing as needed in a daily shift.
Performs other related duties as required.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
Receives supervision from the Shift Supervisor. Position has no formal assigned supervisory responsibility or authority. Must complete jobs without constant supervision.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The principal duties of this position are performed in an indoor and/or outdoor environment. Works standing and walking for prolonged periods of time while cleaning and/sanitizing work area. Steps, stoops, crawls, climbs, lifts, bends, kneels, pulls and pushes while performing job duties such as heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 55 pounds. Physical work is a primary part of job. Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, cleaning chemicals, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING POLICY:
This position is subject to the DLP Services LLC, Drug Free Workplace Policy which includes: Post-Accident Testing, Random Testing, and/or Reasonable Suspicion Testing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED.
Must pass a federal background check.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Effective interpersonal/communication skills.
Ability to understand written and verbal communications.
Ability to understand verbal instructions.
Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
Effective grooming skills.
Able to operate electronic devices for clocking in/out procedures.
Ability to operate vacuums and other related equipment.
Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
Ability to lift, push/pull and manipulate heavy objects up to 55 pounds.
Other:
Valid Texas Drivers’ License Class C.
