SCH is looking for a full-time (32 hours/week) custodian to attend to our facilities with integrity and attention to detail. The goal is to create a clean and orderly environment for our patients that will become a critical factor in maintaining and strengthening our reputation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Cleaning patient rooms, lounges, offices, nurses' stations, and waiting areas.
- Cleaning Restrooms - Washes sinks, toilets, and plumbing fixtures. Replaces disposables such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper.
- Sweeping, Mopping, Vacuuming - Sweeps, mops, and wet washes floors. Periodically cleans and/or polishes floors using buffing machine when assigned.
- Uses cleaning devices, products, supplies and equipment to perform job.
- Removes trash from the facility.
- Shampoos carpet per standard procedure when assigned.
- Polishes metal and other bright surfaces.
- Cleans glass doorways or other glass surfaces as needed.
- Reports any recognized hazards that exist in and around the facilities.
- Reports thorough and accurate safety and incident reports to supervisor.
- Assists the facilities manager in maintaining an inventory of cleaning materials, supplies, and equipment and reports depleted items or equipment in need of repair.
- Maintain a working knowledge of departmental standard operation procedures which may include the use of specialized equipment.
- Proven experience as a cleaner or housekeeper.
- Ability to multi-task and follow through.
- Experience with working buffing machines and carpet cleaners a plus.
- Work is typically performed indoors with frequent sitting, standing, and bending necessary to perform daily job requirements.
