Position Description

POSITION TITLE: Substitute Custodian, Various Hours (Day & Evening)

LOCATION: All Locations

FLSA: Non-exempt

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or G.E.D.
• Ability to perform the essential job functions
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Effective grooming skills
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and work independently.
• Ability to lift 55 pounds to shoulder height occasionally
• Ability to push / pull a minimum of 20 pounds frequently

REPORTS TO: Director of Buildings and Maintenance, Lead Custodian and Building Principal.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Perform major cleaning tasks such as vacuuming (using a 20 lb. vacuum daily for 3-4 hours), wet-mopping, sweeping, dusting, emptying trash (lifting waste paper and debris - minimum of 55 lbs.) and pencil sharpeners, cleaning chalkboards and disinfecting drinking fountains.
2. Clean restrooms, including floors and all fixtures (i.e.: urinals, toilets, sinks, mirrors, partitions, and counters). Ensure restrooms are clean and disinfected.
3. Wash windows, doors and mirrors in entry ways and other areas assigned.
4. Dust furniture and equipment.
5. Perform duties in a timely, neat, and efficient manner.

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Maintain a professional relationship with students, faculty, administration and community patrons.
2. Submit all data and information as requested.
3. Complete requested paperwork.

Rate of Pay:
$19.79 / Hour
