Certified Welding Inspector Job at Synerfac in Mt Joy

Our client, a recognized leader in industrial manufacturing and fabrication, is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector to join their team in Mt. Joy, PA. This role requires an individual with a keen eye for detail and a thorough understanding of welding practices, codes, and standards. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and integrity of welded structures and components, contributing to the overall success of major fabrication projects.

- Responsible for ensuring that welding projects meet safety and quality standards, and preventing accidents and errors.

- Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) on welds using various methods such as ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and radiographic testing.

- Interpret and evaluate NDT results to determine the quality of welds.

- Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate records of all welding activities.

Job Requirements

- Capable of conducting routine preventative maintenance to maintain the safety and functionality of both equipment and the workplace.

- Must be a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) through AWS, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.

- Experience with Level II Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) is preferred.

- Candidates with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) certification must provide documented work hours to be considered.
