Redline Athletics Bowie, located in Bowie, MD, is seeking a Lead SPS / Lead Trainer. The ideal candidate is passionate about sports, has eiher played sports at the collegiate or professional level or have trained athletes. They should be comfortable working with athletes at all ages and abilities, with a primary focus on ages 8-18. This person must be extremely high-energy, motivating, passionate about health & performance, and ready to make a difference in each member’s life.

Description of the Role
The Lead SPS is very important to the success of the Redine facility and ultimately is responsible for the on-floor training activities that occur between athletes and Lead Sports Performance Specialist (SPS). The candidate must have experience in coaching, training, and client management. As a Lead SPS, you will inspire and empower the people in our community to make positive health choices and change their lives by joining our team in creating a fun, high-energy atmosphere for athletes to train like a pro, with the pros. The Lead SPS will work hand-in-hand with the Director of Business Development (DBD), (the DBD is responsible for the overall sales management of the facility) on ensuring all athletes and parents have a positive experience when entering the facility.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Assist with the design of programming for athletes, teams and organizations
- Master our signature training programs, individualized movement assessment, and modify as needed for athletes
- Provide oversight to coaches/trainers that report to you
- Ensure the quality of our training program
- Track, monitor and report athletes' performance
- Lead outreach activties with teams, schools, organizations, businesses, etc as it relates to training activities/programming
- Provide weekly, monthly, quarterly reporting to owners on the progress of established goals
- Monitor established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), providing corrective actions when KPIs are not in alignment with brand standards
- Promote an inclusive, high energy, accountable culture
- Assist with marketing acttivites
- Promote the brand by attending community events and/or games and touraments
- Attend community events, such as games and forums
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in youth sports (i.e. proper training techiques, etc)
Qualifications:
- Certified by National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA)- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
- Four-year degree preferably or related to, Exercise and Sports Sciences or Kinesiology
- Previous preformance training experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft (Word, PowerPoint, & Excel) and other business applications.
- Comfortable speaking to parents, club, school and youth organization coaches and contacts
- Reliable, professional, computer literate, energetic, and friendly
Employment Type: Full Time
Salary: $22 - $27 Hourly
