Job Title: Racquet Sports Professional
Reports To: Executive Director of Golf and Recreation
Status: Non-Exempt
Job Type: Full-time, seasonal (4 months)
Position Summary: The Racquet Sports Professional at Mountaintop Golf & Lake Club is responsible for driving all tennis and pickleball-related aspects including but not limited to pickleball and tennis lessons, clinics, camps, events, tournaments, daily maintenance, etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Fostering a friendly, inclusive, and welcoming racquet community for members by getting to know members personally and introducing them to like-skilled and like-minded players.
- Serving as a personable and energetic ambassador for Mountaintop and its racquet program, proactively encouraging members to participate in skill-appropriate clinics, lessons, tournaments, and social events.
- Run and help facilitate holiday tournaments.
- Maintain strict professionalism in all relationships and interactions with members, guests, and staff.
- Providing a visible, friendly, and encouraging presence on- and off-court and be readily available to members to ensure that all members and their guests receive courteous, prompt, and professional attention to all their racquet needs.
- Continuously evaluating and enhancing Mountaintop’s racquet programming and facilities based on participation, participant feedback, and financial performance.
- Ensuring sufficient instructional programs (clinics, private lessons, and summer camps) meeting the needs of the membership across age groups (e.g., juniors, teens, adults, seniors) and skill levels.
- Envisioning and designing fun and innovative racquet-related events to engage and excite the membership.
- Driving event participation by proactively communicating about upcoming events and encouraging members to sign up.
- Maintaining a safe and healthy physical environment for all members, guests, and staff.
- Reporting maintenance needs to Outdoor Pursuits Director in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Competitive racquet player at the collegiate or professional level.
- Demonstrates ability to plan and meet timelines and to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Personal passion for tennis and pickleball and demonstrated experience fostering a love of the game in players regardless of skill level.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Friendly and diplomatic demeanor, and ability to remain composed in stressful situations.
- Must be able to work with little supervision, withstand long periods of standing, bending, crouching, reaching & running, lift 50+ pounds, work in non-temperature-controlled environments.
- First Aid, CPR & AED certification.

Pay and Compensation:
Competitive Base Pay with additional split for lessons and clinics.
