Family Health Centers of San Diego is hiring for a Family and Sports Medicine Physician to join our team.
Position Details:
- Full Time
- Must be BE/BC in both Family Medicine and Sports Medicine
- This position will be split between two locations: one for Sports Medicine and one for Family Medicine.
General Job Description
Under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer, the Physician offers and provides complete medical services to patients. You embrace a spirit of service to provide caring, affordable, high-quality healthcare and supportive services to everyone, with a special commitment to uninsured, low-income, and medically underserved persons. You thrive on the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment with many chronically ill patients, knowing you are making a difference in your community every day. You enjoy partnering with the provider team to provide excellence in medical services and supervising mid-level providers.
Job Roles
- Completes all required documentation accurately, timely, and thoroughly in accordance with department standards.
- Follows FHCSD policies and procedures, including cooperating with the timely submission of credentialing and licensing paperwork.
- Maintains FHCSD behavioral standards, including effective listening and communication skills.
- Maintains a productivity expectation of 2.4 patients per hour.
- Meets clinic site and organization needs in a reliable and flexible manner.
- Participates in administrative duties, including lab reports, charts, and medication refills.
- Participates in on-call schedule in a responsive and timely manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Supervises mid-levels in a timely and responsive manner.
Education/Certifications/Licenses/Registrations
- Requires an active Class C California driver's license.
- Board certified in a Primary Care field.
- Current American Heart Association healthcare provider CPR (BLS).
- DEA license.
- Graduate from an accredited school of medicine.
- Must possess current unrestricted license to practice in the State of California.
Experience/Specialized Skills
- 1 year experience working in Family Practice required.
- Ability to work effectively with patients from diverse social, cultural, and economic groups.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) capabilities strongly desired.
- Knowledge of and ability to take a detailed medical history.
- Demonstrated commitment to community medicine.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base range for this position, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.
$265,000.00 - $330,000.00
If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience.
