SURREY HILLS DENTAL is hiring: Dental Hygienist in Yukon

Duties:

- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth, removing plaque and tartar, and applying fluoride treatments
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care
- Take and develop dental x-rays to assist in diagnosing dental conditions
- Assist the dentist during procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history and treatment plans
- Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and recording medical documentation
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective patient care
- Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean dental office environment

Skills:

- Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Epic, or similar platforms
- Experience working with pediatric patients and providing age-appropriate dental care
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dental procedures and conditions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record patient information
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and the dental team
- Ability to perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and recording medical documentation
