Our private practice in West Bradenton is seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist who has an upbeat yet professional demeanor with excellent clinical and communication skills.

This is a full-time position (M-TH) that is available immediately. We will also consider part-time applicants. We are family-friendly and can be flexible with the hours. No weekends or late hours. Our office is open from 8-5 pm.

Dental Hygienist Job Responsibilities: Preferred candidates will have the ability to place emphasis on providing excellent care, rapport building, and patient education as well as excellent infection control, effective communication, organization, computer skills and comfort with clinical technology. Must be familiar with intra-oral camera and digital x rays or willing to learn. Additional responsibilities include the following:

Evaluate patients overall oral health; examining oral cavity for signs of periodontal disease and lesions
Document patient dental history and chief complaint; records and reports pertinent observations and clinical data to dental staff
Follow through with oral hygiene procedures in accordance with treatment plans prescribed by the attending Dentist, which may include: prophylaxis, periodontal scaling, and root planing, gingivitis therapy, fluoride treatments, and application of protective sealants (among others)
Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments during treatment
Provides comprehensive patient education based on clinical finding
