We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, possess excellent communication skills, and thrive in a collaborative environment. As a Dental Hygienist at Community Health Net, you will play a vital role in promoting oral health and preventing dental diseases through patient education, preventive treatments, and professional dental cleanings.
Position Responsibilities:
• Perform dental hygiene procedures including prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and periodontal maintenance under the supervision of a licensed Dentist.
• Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments, including reviewing medical histories and taking dental X-rays.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, nutritional counseling, and disease prevention strategies.
• Administer fluoride treatments and apply dental sealants as needed.
• Assist with dental charting, documentation, and maintaining accurate patient records.
• Collaborate with dentists and other dental team members to develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate patient care.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile working environment.
Position Qualifications:
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
• CPR certification.
• Proficiency in taking dental X-rays and familiarity with dental software systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to providing compassionate care and promoting oral health equity.
