The Position:
You will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients in a professional and courteous manner. Additionally, you will perform a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for patients under the direction of the manager/provider.The individual must be enthusiastic about patient care and have the ability to handle varied personalities and personal situations.
As an Infusion RN, a typical day might look like:
- Greeting and assessing patients health upon arrival and prior to their infusion appointment.
- Insertions and discontinuation of peripheral intravenous catheters.
- Mixing/monitoring of medications, administering premeds and medications inresponseto changes in patientsconditions.
- Scheduling follow up appointments.
- Documentation of patient visits.
- Assisting with drug inventory management.
This job might be for you if:
- You have an RN Degree
- You have an Active State Nursing License
- You have 2 years experience working in a healthcare facility
- You have 6 months experience inserting IVs
- You connect well with others and are comfortable talking to people.
- You are familiar with NextGen EMT System or another EMR.
- You have a knowledge CTP & ICD-10 coding practices.
