Hospice - Executive Director - RN

We are seeking a Hospice Executive Director.

Our Executive Director will:

1. Plan and organize tasks and resources to achieve strategic goals and objectives.
2. Be responsible for compliance with all regulations, laws, policies, and procedures applicable to hospice and Medicare/Medicaid issues on a daily basis.
3. Ensure that hospice employs qualified individuals for all staff positions and accept responsibility for daily agency operations.
4. Be immediately available (or have an Alternate Designee) to be on-site during business hours or immediately available by telephone when off-site conducting agency business, and available after hours as needed.
5. Provide oversight for hospice operations to ensure agency success.
6. Provide support and coaching to the hospice team.
7. Interview and select potential employees.
8. Ensure all hospice policies and procedures comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
9. Communicate with patients, patient family members, and physicians concerning patient care.
10. Monitor hospice census and staffing trends.
11. Maintain departmental budget and financials.
12. Oversee the implementation of policy, procedures, and quality improvement programs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Active in-state RN license.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field preferred.
• At least five years of experience in a leadership role.
• Hospice and leadership experience.
• Strong financial acumen, including experience with profit and loss statements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and lead a team to achieve organizational goals.
