Job description

We are looking for a Painter to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience and or a track record of professional success in the paint industry. This position is high visibility, requiring excellent communication skills, ability to take direction, follow processes and produce consistent results.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply a variety of abrasive blasting techniques for surface preparation.
  • Apply a variety or paints and specialty coatings.
  • Interpret job work orders to perform required work.
  • Notify Supervisor of any materials and/or equipment required to ensure completion of job tasks.
  • Interact with crew members in a team environment, as well as with Supervisor.
  • Follow all safety rules, keep the work area clean, and comply with all Environmental, Health and Safety Policies.
  • Comply with quality standards by following all in-house quality processes and procedures and regulations as well as any client-specific procedures.
  • Ensure customer quality assurance standards are met.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned such as special projects.

Competencies:

  • Must have knowledge of equipment and tools required to perform safe entry for blasting.
  • Must perform and prioritize multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, smelling, and visual acuity, with color and depth perception.
  • Ability to work in a confined space.
  • Required to use personal protective equipment as environmental conditions dictate.

Education/Experience:

  • High-school diploma or general education degree (GED) would be preferred not required.
  • 5 years of industrial painting experience required
