Accredo Packaging, Inc. manufactures and supplies sustainable high value added, flexible packaging, predominantly for the pre-packaged foods and consumer products markets in North America. We are currently seeking a Lead Process Auditor (Night Shift) for our Sugar Land, Texas facility.
The Process Auditor is responsible for auditing manufacturing departments to ensure compliance with company procedures and processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Observe employees and identify areas of compliance and areas in need of improvement.
•Compare employees' work to established procedures.
•Engage with employees regarding observations both positive and negative.
•Verify finished product meets packaging requirements and finishing specifications.
•Confirm compliance with documentation practices.
•Write a detailed shift report summarizing all findings/observations and actions taken.
•Conduct monthly plant-wide food safety audits.
•Work with various departments to solve problems directly related to processes and quality assurance.
•Ability to make quality decisions independently.
•Point of contact for quality issues.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
•Auditing experience required.
•Basic knowledge of Quality Management System
•Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
•Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
•Detail oriented and critical thinking ability.
•Ability to adapt to continuous improvement and process changes.
•Intermediate computer skills.
•Ability to read, write and speak English to the extent necessary to effectively communicate and interpret instructions.
•Bilingual in Vietnamese and/or Spanish is an advantage.
•Ability to use and read basic measuring devices, such as a ruler and pi tape as needed.
•Must pass the New Hire Base Assessment Test, which measures basic math, grammar, and mechanical aptitude.
Working Conditions
•Works full-time (8-hour shift) Monday through Friday
•Works indoors in a well-lit, climate-controlled environment.
•Wears common protective or safety equipment, such as safety shoes, glasses and hearing protection when out on the production floor.
•Spends most of the time standing
