Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 6:30am - 3:00pm.

Position Overview

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the high-rise condominium’s common areas. This role ensures that the building is kept in pristine condition, providing a safe, clean, and pleasant environment for residents and guests. The Housekeeper will also assist with occasional special projects, such as deep cleaning or seasonal tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning Common Areas:

    • Regularly clean and maintain the lobby, hallways, elevators, stairwells, and other shared spaces.
    • Dust, vacuum, mop, and polish floors, surfaces, and fixtures to ensure a high standard of cleanliness.
    • Clean glass surfaces, such as windows and mirrors, to maintain a polished appearance.
  • Restroom and Locker Room Maintenance:

    • Ensure all restrooms, locker rooms, and fitness center facilities are cleaned, restocked with supplies, and sanitized throughout the day.
    • Regularly check and clean bathroom fixtures, sinks, and floors, and replenish toiletries as needed.
  • Trash and Recycling:

    • Collect and dispose of trash and recycling from common areas and ensure that garbage chutes and waste rooms are clean and orderly.
    • Maintain cleanliness of trash and recycling bins and ensure that they are properly organized for scheduled pick-ups.
  • Elevator and Lobby Maintenance:

    • Clean and sanitize elevator interiors, doors, and call buttons.
    • Ensure the lobby area is neat, tidy, and welcoming at all times, including dusting furniture and cleaning entranceways.
  • Special Cleaning Projects:

    • Assist with periodic deep cleaning tasks, such as carpet shampooing, window washing, and polishing floors.
    • Support seasonal tasks such as cleaning outdoor spaces, removing snow or debris, or preparing the building for special events or holidays.
  • Resident Assistance:

    • Assist residents with small housekeeping requests, such as cleaning up spills in common areas or helping carry packages when needed.
    • Respond promptly to requests from the Property Manager or Maintenance Supervisor for urgent cleaning needs.
  • Supplies and Inventory:

    • Monitor and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that they are properly stocked and stored.
    • Notify the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager when supplies need replenishing or equipment requires maintenance.
  • Safety and Sanitation:

    • Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
    • Ensure that cleaning procedures meet health and sanitation guidelines, particularly in high-traffic or sensitive areas like restrooms and fitness centers.
Qualifications:
  • Experience:

    • At least 1-2 years of housekeeping or custodial experience, preferably in a residential or hospitality setting.
    • Familiarity with cleaning equipment, tools, and products, as well as their proper usage and safety guidelines.
  • Skills:

    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
    • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to complete tasks.
    • Good communication skills to interact professionally with residents, guests, and staff.
  • Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
    • Must be able to lift and move cleaning supplies and equipment, as well as handle tasks like mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal.
  • Education:

    • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
