The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supervising housekeeping functions on assigned shift to ensure the cleaning and upkeep of hotel rooms, meeting rooms, public spaces, hallways, work and storage areas according to established standards, as well as to achieve effective and efficient supervision of human and financial resources.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver internal and external guest service in Boyd Style. Always exhibit a friendly and approachable demeanor. Be polite and courteous when speaking with guests and team members. Look for and act upon opportunities to assist guests and team members. Be sincere and genuine during all interactions. Be prepared with the knowledge and skill required to be responsive to guests and team members needs and questions.
- Inspects (visually and in written form) guest rooms, meeting rooms, public spaces, back of house areas, and hallways for cleanliness and standards.
- Hires, trains, motivates, appraises, coaches, and supervises team members in order to ensure that all team members receive adequate guidance and resources needed to perform work according to established objectives and standards.
- Develops, implements, and conducts staff training programs to ensure well-trained employees in all aspects of cleaning standards and techniques, proper and safe use of machines and chemicals, and customer service standards.
- Follows facility safety and security guidelines and ensures team members follow the same. Participates in property safety committee and serves as an emergency responder for the location.
- Develops work schedules and coordinates work assignments in conjunction with hotel business levels and staffing guidelines.
- Provides input to management for associate performance reviews
- Performs scheduled inventory counts of all hard and soft goods, and linen, to ensure property inventory level, protection of assets, and facilitation of the ordering process.
- Orders supplies and materials using MMS as needed to maintain established minimum inventory levels.
- Defines and reports facility concerns related to structure, equipment and plumbing. Follows up to ensure completion of needed repairs.
- Assists in developing and maintaining Housekeeping Department operating procedures to ensure effective execution of work.
- Ensures team members follow all policies and procedures and holds all team members accountable to those standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests, as well as all levels of employees.
- Ability to inspect rooms and count inventory.
- Must be able to review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
- Ability to effectively and efficiently move from floor to floor as needed.
- Demonstrated knowledge of housekeeping policies and procedures.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to clean and perform housekeeping duties in a lodging facility.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Strong work ethic.
- Computer skills.
These skills and abilities are typically acquired through two years progressive experience in hotel housekeeping.

Must successfully pass background check
Must successfully pass an alcohol and drug screening
Must be 21 years of age
