Description

The award winning Grandover Resort & Spa, a Wyndham Grand Hotel is currently looking for a Houseperson to join our team and provide excellent customer service to our hotel guests. Responding promptly to requests from guests and other departments. The Houseperson will report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms. Performs any combination of the following tasks to maintain guestrooms, working areas, and the hotel premises in a clean and orderly manner.

Requirements

Minimum Experience, Education, Skill, & Physical Requirements:
  • Work experience in housekeeping or a houseperson preferred.
  • Work experience with industrial cleaning equipment and products.
  • Good physical health and stamina.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards.

Other Key Duties:
  • Clean rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom and carpet shampoo machine.
  • Cleans rooms, hallways and restrooms.
  • Washes walls, ceiling, moves furniture and turns mattresses.
  • Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors.
  • Dusts and polishes metal work.
  • Collects soiled linen for laundering.
  • Receives linen supplies from laundry.
  • Maintains and stocks room attendant carts.
  • Removes trash collected by room attendants, and transports to compactor.
  • Walk all assigned floors at beginning and end of shift to collect room service trays, dishes, trash and soiled linen.
  • Pickup clean linen and refill the par stock of linen in each linen closet on assigned floors.
  • Deliver towels, cribs, cots and other items to the guest rooms as requested.
  • Perform duties of Room Attendant when necessary.
  • Sort linen, stock room attendant cages on assigned floors.
  • Refill the par stock of guest amenities and supplies on each floor's cage.
  • Assist the Room Attendants with heavy lifting with the deep cleaning of guest rooms.
  • Clean all public areas in the prescribed manner while following standard operating procedures.
  • Assist Room Attendants with placing roll-away beds, cribs in the guest's room and other special requests.
  • Follow hotel security guidelines.
  • Any other duties assigned by management.
