POSITION SUMMARY
The Housekeeping Room Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the overall cleanliness and maintenance of hotel rooms. This position is responsible for inspecting rooms after they are cleaned by housekeeping staff to ensure that all standards of cleanliness, presentation, and functionality are met before guest arrival.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect Cleaned Rooms: Conduct thorough inspections of condominiums and common areas to verify cleanliness, arrangement, and functionality. Be able to clean condominiums if required.
- Report and Resolve Issues: Identify any deficiencies or maintenance issues (e.g., broken furniture, plumbing problems, or malfunctioning appliances) and coordinate with housekeeping or maintenance staff to resolve them promptly.
- Ensure Quality Control: Ensure that all rooms adhere to The Gant’s standard of cleanliness, including checking beds, bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and amenities.
- Staff Performance: Provide corrections and feedback to housekeeping staff on their performance and areas of improvement; report any concerns to Director of Housekeeping.
- Administrative Tasks: Update daily assignment sheets for room attendants. Communicate with staff and supervisors and manage room attendants in the absence of direct supervisors.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and track room supplies and amenities, ensuring sufficient stock levels and proper usage.
- Guest Satisfaction: Ensure rooms are prepared to exceed homeowner and guest expectations and follow up on any guest complaints or special requests regarding room cleanliness.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards. Understand proper and safe use of cleaning chemicals.
- Training Support: Assist in training new housekeeping staff and ensuring they understand cleaning procedures and inspection standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous hospitality housekeeping experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English, bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
- Experience working with the public.
- Available to work flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to do several tasks at one time and maintain consistency, efficiency and uphold high standards of cleanliness, order and organization.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- 140 condominiums accessible by elevator. Some units are accessible by small flight of stairs located on floors. All condominiums are equipped with full kitchens, fireplaces, vacuum cleaners and phone system.
- Housekeeping Office equipped with computer, phone systems, cleaning chemicals. Laundry rooms, housekeeping/linen closets, condominium units.
- Regularly pass through outdoors with adverse conditions. May be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces.
- General Property Environment-5 acres of land including 10 buildings all accessible by walking outside, tennis courts, pools and hot tubs, elevators.
- Fast-paced work environment including contact with many other members of the staff.
- Ability to walk long distances and be on feet most of the day.
- Ability to perform the following repetitive movements such as climbing stairs, bending over to stock housekeeping closet shelves, kneeling, reaching, pushing/pulling.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 - 50 pounds.
