Salary: $50,000 +

Shift: Varies

Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY

The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the rooms with emphasis in the areas of five diamond guest service and team member relations. The Supervisor will ensure all rooms are ready for arrival. The supervisor will assist in managing the day to day operation of the department to include training, guest resolution, coaching and discipline, room assignments and any additional duty as requested.

The Supervisor, as with all members of the Monarch Casino Resort Spa Team, is expected to conduct himself/herself in a manner which demonstrates initiative, professionalism, personal awareness, integrity, and exercises confidentiality in the appropriate areas of his/her performance. The Supervisor shares in the Monarch Casino Resort Spa support of the companys Vision, Mission, Values, and consistently performs all functions in a fashion that inspires and motivates others to actively pursue them.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for the day to day of their assigned floors
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the rooms
  • Ensure that all rooms are cleaned for arrival
  • Ensure all policies and procedures including Osha and Health Department Guidelines are being followed
  • Provide guidance and motivation to achieve optimal performance
  • Responsible for re-training team members on cleanliness concerns
  • Resolves guest complaints and ensures guest satisfaction
  • Completes reports and projects as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager
  • Works closely with other departments such as Front Desk, PBX, Reservations and VIP Services
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned


Qualifications:

TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE (Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience)

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Housekeeping, experience in an Inspector/supervisor role at a high-occupancy resort
  • Knowledge of AAA and Forbes Standards.
  • Passion for Guest Service, eye for creativity, innovation and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer proficient
  • Ability to manage hotel inventory

WORK ENVIROMENT

The supervisor works on-site at the casino and interfaces with external/internal customers, Team Members, and vendors on a regular basis. The positions work schedule varies and may include Saturday/Sunday and evening work depending on the needs of the operation.
