The Glen Scripps Ranch is looking for a Full Time Housekeeping / EVS Supervisor

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30a-4pm

Hourly: 21.50-23.50/ DOE

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Environmental Services Supervisor assists with the day-to-day operation of the Environmental Services Department. Supervises the work activities of cleaning personnel to ensure clean, orderly, and an attractive community. Assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment and take corrective action.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

  • Supervises the performance of all Housekeeping and Laundry staff through personal inspections and other quality control measures.
  • Inspects all public areas throughout the Community daily.
  • Distributes daily work assignments to staff.
  • Implements and monitors departmental compliance with all infection control policies and procedures.
  • Maintains cleaning storage areas, supply rooms, and all department storages areas ensuring they are stocked and organized at all times.
  • Creates and establishes cleaning routines for restaurants, floors, carpet care, furniture, drapes, upholstery, etc.
  • Updates required records, reports, studies, cleaning logs and notes; reports, and other paperwork as needed.
  • Facilitated in-service training and education sessions for staff.
  • Assists with the procurement of supplies, chemicals, and equipment; inventory control; and operating within budgetary guidelines.
  • Protects Community property/equipment and makes sure there are no defects.
  • Notify supervisors on any damages, deficits and disturbances
  • Addresses complaints/requests with professionalism and patience
  • Observes and notifies supervisor about noticeable changes in a Resident’s health, demeanor or disposition.
  • Responsible for maintaining excellent relations with the residents and promoting good departmental morale.
  • Performs the duties of a custodian, housekeeper and laundry tech as needed.
  • Assists with annual deep cleaning projects and unit turnovers as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by Department Director.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
  • Minimum of two years of previous custodial experience.
  • Previous lead or supervisor experience in a hotel, hospital, or retirement community.
  • Previous floor maintenance experience is required.
  • Knowledge of floor care procedures, techniques, and supplies preferred, but not required.
  • Current driver’s license and ability to drive utility vehicles.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Computer proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook a plus.
  • High School/GED education required. Additional courses in environmental services or institutional management a plus.
