SUMMARY

Responsible for supporting the room attendant in the cleaning of rooms by stripping beds, stocking carts and linen closets. Liaison between the housekeeping housekeepers, deep clean and supervisors.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Helps coordinate special projects and assignment area coverage with the supervisor for housekeepers to ensure courteous and rapid housekeeping services.
  2. Responsible for coordinating, executing the moving and organization of supply rooms and equipment as required and directed in all areas.
  3. Retrieval and delivery of lines, glasses and other miscellaneous room items from hotel or lodge rooms. As well as delivery of any supplies needed in any other housekeeping working areas of the property.
  4. Routinely - dust, mopping, sweeping, wet mopping, waxing, vacuuming, polishing, stripping of beds, removal of garbage and simple operation of basic mechanical cleaning equipment where coverage might be needed in any of the designated areas on the property.
  5. Non-routinely - stripping, refinishing floors, operate floor scrubber buffer, window washing, waster receptacle washing, carpet shampooing, cleaning and moving of furniture might be needed in any of the designated housekeeping areas on property.
  6. Must adhere to all OSHA regulations and local Health Department standards.
  1. All other duties as assigned.


REPORTING LINE

You will report directly to the Housekeeping Coordinator then to the Executive Housekeeper.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times.
  • The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner.
  • You will need to be available to work all shifts.
  • The ability to perform assigned job duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment.
  • Knowledge in the safe use of cleaning products.
  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You also must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain a WV Racing License.


EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not necessary.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

You will need to be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time. The ability to push, pull, kneel, twist, carry and lift up to 30 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Will be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment and seasonal elements.

MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED

You will be in direct contact with various cleaning chemicals.
