Southwest Electric Co. Is looking for a 3rd shift Welder in Oklahoma City.

There is a 10% Shift differential for 3rd Shift.


Work Schedule is Sunday- Friday 56 hours per week.

Sunday - Wednesday 7pm- 5:30 am Thursday and Fridays 9pm- 5:30 am


Welder Summary:

Provide welding support to a manufacturing operation. Interpret and understand manufacturing instructions, and transformer manufacturing operations.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to MIG, TIG, stick weld, braze, operate cutting torches, and plasma cutter to AWS standards.
  • Fabricate components by using equipment to clean, prepare, cut, burn, and weld pieces, setting up and measuring assemblies and selecting appropriate method.
  • Must know and understand weld symbols.
  • Weld cover and perform various tank modifications.
  • Reviews manufacturing instructions, diagrams, charts, and repair order to determine work scope.
  • Regularly attends work as scheduled.
  • Follows safety rules and/or guidelines while performing daily work.
  • Completes process control records.
  • Safely operate various overhead cranes, forklifts, coil lifter, enerpac hydraulic system, and various handheld power tools.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, manufacturing plans, and possess strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality.
  • Maintain safe work environment by following procedures.
  • Must be able to read tape measure and mics.
  • Able to work independently of others and have their own tools.
  • Follow direction; maintain focus and a positive attitude at all times.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
  • Two plus years related experience and/or training.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand.

  • crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance
