Extrusion Operators 2nd & 3rd shift Job at Marquee Staffing - CB in Vista

We are seeking Extrusion Operators for 2nd and 3rd shifts for our client in Vista. This is an entry-level position for someone with any technical background in machine operation in pipe extrusion.

This position will be part of the team that operates the extruder line to produce polyethylene pipe.

You will be responsible for unloading and processing plastic pipe coils from the extrusion lines. Supporting the Lead operators activities and the team that operate it, utilizing company resources to meet production schedules.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Able to unloads and processes plastic pipe coils from the extrusion lines.
• Able to start and stop extrusion line within 30 days of assignment to area
• Dependable, responsible, and adaptable
• Assist Extrusion lead operator in start-up of lines as required.
• Able to operate a forklift
• Able to safely operate all equipment and systems in extrusion
• Record inspection data manually or in electronic format.
• Monitors the line to ensure continuous production.
• Communicate effectively with management, engineers, mechanics, and operators.
• · Able to detects and reports defective material, unusual conditions, or faulty equipment to department Lead or Supervisor.
• Interfaces with all departments as required to produce high quality products

Position Requirements

• Prior experience in a production setting working with plastics and/or extruded tubing a plus.
• High school diploma/ GED
• Ability to work efficiently under stressful situations
• Must be able to perform basic math computations
• Ability to work closely with others in the company
• Must have the ability to learn new technologies
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Minimum 1 to 2 years related operator experience is preferred.
• Bilingual a plus
• Forklift experience a plus
• Ability to work overtime

Work schedule and compensation:

• -- 2nd shift: Mon thru Friday 1pm to 9:30pm; $18 per hour
• -- 3rd shift: Sun thru Thurs 9pm to 5:30am; $20 per hour
• **Training will be for 2 weeks. 3rd shift must be flexible to train on either 1st or 2nd shift for 2 weeks**
• Preemployment background check and drug test required prior to starting.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
