Trilogy Plastics is looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented QA Inspector / Technician - 3rd Shift to examine plastic parts and processes for flaws or defects. POSITION SUMMARY The QA Inspector / Technician - 3rd Shift conducts quality checks in production facility to ensure that defined company standards are met, and product integrity is preserved ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Performs in-process inspections of molded parts (part size, weight, wall thickness, etc.) Carries out specific measurement of products using equipment/tools (gauges, scales, calipers, etc.) Records results on part-specific forms and reports findings to molding team Assists in identifying root causes and corrective actions of minor molding issues Follows inspection priorities set by QA Technicians and Supervisor Performs CNC and Finishing first part approval inspections Records results on part-specific forms and reports findings to CNC and Finishing teams Communicates nonconformance's to appropriate production, operations, or quality staff Performs final inspections (Dock audits) Records results on part-specific forms; Logs nonconformance findings in database Identifies and communicates nonconformance's found during final inspections Explains quality requirements of parts to production employees, including interpretation of set up forms, inspection plans, and customer prints Provides internal quality issue support Provides assistance for nonconforming product identification, containment, and segregation Identifies any gauges or measuring equipment requiring calibration or repair Participates in 6S compliance and audits Understands basic ISO procedures and practices Performs additional duties as required QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
